Application for the CalHealthCares Loan Repayment Program is still open and accepting applications until February 25, 2022. To help applicants through the process, CalHealthCares has hosted webinars that provide an overview of applying, important deadlines, errors routines and the grading system. The webinars end with a live question and answer session.

CalHealthCares provides education debt loan repayment for California doctors and dentists that improves access to care for Medi-Cal patients. Eligible physicians can apply for a loan repayment award of up to $300,000 in exchange for a five-year service obligation. Eligible dentists can apply for a Loan Repayment Grant of up to $300,000 in exchange for a five-year service obligation or a Practice Support Grant of up to $300,000 in exchange for a five-year service obligation. 10 years service. The program is funded by voter-approved Proposition 56 tobacco tax revenues.
