Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Amanah Ikhtiar Malaysia (AIM) recorded a loan repayment rate of 99.8% of its participants between January and May this year. Sabah AIM Director Jahinin Siman said the encouraging rate proved the commitment of participants known as ‘Sahabat Usahawan AIM’ to repay loans on time. He said it is also a clear indication that AIM has played a good role in line with its objectives of empowering the socio-economy of women in the country.
“Since I took over Sabah AIM in March last year, I have put in place strategic measures to address the various issues related to Corps Operations which are now more stable,” he said afterward. have completed a funeral arrangement course organized by Meruntum AIM Centre. Jahinin said Sabah AIM loan funding for 2021 has also increased drastically to RM170 million from just RM124.3 million the previous year, an increase of RM45.4 million. He said that this year AIM is aiming for funding of RM250 million including higher loan recovery rate and he is confident that this can be achieved as till May this year the funding has reached RM120 million.
