North Central Mass. Development approves $50,000 loan for Leominster business

Leominster’s vice president of auto repair and mechanics will receive a $50,000 loan for improvements and equipment, approved by the North Central Massachusetts Development Corp., which is the economic development arm of the chamber of Commerce from North Central Massachusetts to Fitchburg.

The auto shop is owned by Victor Perez and will use the funding to purchase two vehicle lifts, a hydraulic bending station, a truck diagnostic kit and to install epoxy flooring.

“As a small business owner in Leominster looking to grow my business, funding for the
North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. will go a long way towards achieving my
goals,” Perez said in a press release Tuesday.

North Central Massachusetts Development Corp. is a microcredit lender, able to provide small business loans up to $250,000 for working capital, real estate, equipment, inventory and expansion. It works with banking partners to provide top-up financing for the last part of a project.

The nonprofit organization is certified by the US Small Business Administration and the US Department of the Treasury under the Community Development Financial Institutions program.
