Rocket Mortgage, Quicken Loans’ online mortgage lender, is one of the largest mortgage lenders in the United States. The Detroit-based company is named one of NextAdvisor’s Top 10 Mortgage Lenders due to the company’s large national footprint, simple online application process, low number of consumer complaints, transparent pricing and fees, and the company’s extensive offering of mortgage products. However, Rocket Mortgage does not offer ARM loans.
AimLoan is a solid option depending on the type of loan you are looking for. The company offers fast closings, accessible information on rates and fees, and guarantees certain closing costs at the time of the request. However, AimLoan does not offer certain government guaranteed loans such as FHA loans.
A major distinction between the two lenders is the history of customer satisfaction. Using the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Complaint Database, we found that Rocket Mortgage had one of the lowest complaint rates among the lenders we reviewed. AimLoan’s complaint score, however, was slightly above average. Rocket Mortgage or AimLoan: who is better to refinance with?
