Hello Chelsea fans
Chelsea are frustrated that the sanctions imposed on the club have restricted their pursuit of the transfer of Erling Haaland.
The Blues were hit when owner Roman Abramovich was identified as having links to Russian President Vladimir Putin following the invasion of Ukraine.
Although the club have been granted a special license to continue fixtures, they cannot sign any players until a takeover is complete.
Now ESPN claim a Chelsea source has revealed their anger and frustration that these penalties spoiled their bid to land Haaland.
Tuchel has given his opinion on Chelsea’s ownership situation.
He said: “I was told last week that we had a preferred bidder and things are moving forward.
“It’s quite an important week for the club, but I was fully focused on the pitch. But after what I heard last week, I’m confident.
“Clearing is always best because when the situation is clear you can take action, make judgments, take action.
“Otherwise you’re in a passive role, and that’s who we are right now.”
And finally, Declan Rice will leave West Ham for Chelsea or Man United this summer.
That’s the view of Stan Collymore who told CaughtOffside: “West Ham, unfortunately, withdrew from the Europa League in the semi-final on Thursday night after losing 3-1 on aggregate to Eintracht. Frankfurt over two innings.
“If the club fails to qualify for one of Europe’s two biggest competitions next season, I wonder what that might mean for its best players. Could the Hammers lose important players from the first team this summer?
“Well, Declan Rice is the most obvious. Manchester United and Chelsea and I think even the Spanish giants have been mentioned in the press so the clear answer is yes.
